New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has disclosed making $650m (€547m) worth of infrastructure fund commitments in June.

NYSCRF said it placed $500m into the KKR Global Infrastructure Investors IV fund and $150m into the Northleaf Infrastructure Capital Partners III (NICP III) fund.

The $268.3bn pension fund told Â鶹ӳ» Real Assets that the KKR fund provides the NYSCRF â€exposure to a manager with a risk-based approach to infrastructure investing and strong sector diversificationâ€.

KKR is reportedly seeking to raise $12bn for the global infrastructure fund.

The pension fund said adding Northleaf Capital Partners to its infrastructure manager lineup provides exposure to middle-market infrastructure assets with downside protection and yield.

Last month, NICP III held a final closing for its third pooled infrastructure fund, raising more than $1.4bn of commitments and exceeding the original target of $1.25bn.

Northleaf’s infrastructure program is focused on direct, long-term investments in mid-market assets in OECD countries.
