UK retailer Woolworths Group said on Wednesday that it has agreed to sell four London stores to supermarket chain Waitrose for £25.5mln (EUR 32.2mln).
The transaction is subject to landlord consents but is expected to complete by the end of July 2008. The proceeds from the disposal, which will be received in cash at completion, will be used to reduce the group's borrowings and finance ongoing investment in the retail business, the company said.
