European real estate investment manager Tristan Capital Partners is planning to raise EUR 500 mln early next year for its new fund Curzon Capital Partners III, CEO Ric Lewis told PropertyEU. 'The new fund will focus on core-plus properties in the UK and the Continent and all sectors including office, retail, logistics and residential.'
The announcement follows news that Tristan Capital Partners has recruited a team of property veterans as it gears up for expansion of its fund offerings and other services. The new additions include Rui Tereso who has been appointed as head of Portfolio and Asset Management; Monica O’Neill as head of Client Services and Marketing; Cameron Spry as head of Investments; Simon Martin as head of Research and Strategy; Ben Newman as managing director, Portfolio/Asset Management; and Sameer Godbole as director of Investments.
The new recruitments bring the total number of staff at Tristan to 11. Lewis: 'We're pleased that we have attracted some of the best people in the business and they're all very familiar faces. Most of them worked alongside me when we built Curzon Global Partners. I am glad to be back in partnership with former team mates and some exceptional new ones. Our goal for Tristan is to match and exceed the investment and business performance of our prior partnership at Curzon.'
The new team joins Lewis and chief operating officer Ian Laming, who has a 20-year track record in global securities investment management, investment banking and investment research. A number of additional hires are also in the pipeline, Lewis said. 'We plan to grow the team to 15 or 20 pretty soon. Eventually we plan to expand to about 40 or 50 staff with three or four offices around Europe.'
Tristan Capital Partners specialises in real estate investment strategies of all property types across the UK and Continental Europe and is owned and managed by its partners. The firm is the executive portfolio manager for two pan-European real estate investment funds which it co-manages for AEW Europe with total assets of EUR 2.2 bn (AUM).
