Statoil UK has agreed to lease the entire 8th and 9th floors, totalling almost 5,000 m2, at One Kingdom Street. The oil company will relocate its UK headquarters there from its present premises at Regent Street in London. The terms of the letting were kept confidential.

Practical completion of the construction of One Kingdom Street was achieved on 19 February this year. Some 50% of the available space in the building is occupied and there is 'active interest' in the rest, Development Securities said.

Novotel London Paddington, a 206-bedroom hotel, is due to open in Autumn 2008. Construction for Two Kingdom Street has commenced and will deliver 24,000 m3 of offices in January 2010.
