Designed by Redevconcepts and CPU Architects, the scheme will comprise 145 retail units, an 11,000 m2 hypermarket, a 5,000 m2 DIY shop, a 3,000 m2 consumer electronics store, gastronomy covering 2,500 m2, a 10-screen cinema complex and a car park with capacity for 2,500 cars. Designed as an environmentally friendly building, the retail development aims to generate its own energy using cogeneration facilities.
Redevco is active in 20 European countries and started looking for real estate opportunities in Turkey in May 2006. Redevco Turkey's managing director Patrick van Dooyeweert said that the company 'plans to expand its portfolio in major cities, with a major focus on retail'.
