PropertyEU is launching www.cityleaders.info, a new online platform focusing on European city development, at MIPIM on March 6.
City Leaders is a joint initiative between PropertyEU and MIPIM organiser Reed Midem. The website provides detailed coverage of economic and real estate developments in 110 European cities.
The information was collated by PropertyEU in tandem with other research and content providers, including DTZ Research, Multi Knowledge Centre, Oxford Economics and Real Capital Analytics.
‘City Leaders is a vital source for city officials, investors, developers and end-users alike,’ commented Filippo Rean, director of MIPIM and MIPIM Asia. ‘The website will be regularly updated over the year to incorporate news stories from PropertyEU’s team of reporters and new profiles of Europe’s emerging cities. I believe the City Leaders project complements MIPIM and provides urban decision-makers with another tool to improve their planning. It offers them a valuable platform to share and develop the new strategies they will need to meet the challenges ahead of them.’
Menno Maas, CEO of CEMEA at content provider DTZ, said the City Leaders project is of crucial importance: ‘City Leaders contributes to the spreading of knowledge about how cities work and how they can solve their problems. Together, we will have an enormous assignment to carry out: to keep Europe up to speed with the latest urban developments amid a scarcity of resources.’
The City Leaders website will be launched on Tuesday, March 6, at 14.30 in the Gaudi room, level 01, aisle 02 at the Palais des Festivals.
The 2012 edition of the City Leaders magazine is available via the website.
