CEE logistics property developer and operator PointPark Properties (P3) has leased 2,000 m2 of storage space in its PointPark Prague D1 distribution park in Prague to the Czech swimming pool and sauna manufacturer Marimex.

'Our goal was to move to a distribution centre in the outskirts of Prague but still be en route to our subsidiary in Slovakia, Marimex SK, which would simplify and accelerate the transportation of goods,' said Marimex's Jaroslav Rozhon.

'New clients are confirmation of the quality of our distribution parks, especially in the current market where vacancy rates in industrial real estate are especially high. We try to be as flexible as possible while accommodating the needs of our clients,' added Tomas Novotny, the managing director of PointPark Properties in the Czech Republic.

Marimex is the fifth new client for Pointpark Properties this year, the company said. PointPark Properties' Prague D1 and Prague D8 logistics parks boost occupancy rates of around 76% at present.

Active in 10 European countries, PointPark Properties is an asset manager and developer of distribution facilities with over 1.4 million m2 of assets under management and a 610,000 m2 development pipeline throughout Europe. The company is entirely owned by Bahrain-based bank Arcapita.
