Arcapita's logistics property arm Pinnacle said it is changing its name into PointPark Properties as to 'clear up any public confusion about its identity and increase the recognition of its assets'.

'We have successfully traded under the Pinnacle name but our research showed that there is confusion in the market with other companies using the same name,' CEO Ian Worboys said. The developer has already used the PointPark brand to promote six development sites across Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic and Bulgaria, he added.

The real estate unit of Bahrain bank's Arcapita has developed over 800,000 m2 of logistics space across a number of European countries and is planning to develop a further 600,000 m2 on its PointPark sites. Founded in 2001, it has offices in Prague, Frankfurt, Bratislava and Warsaw with a liaison office in Madrid. The firm's assets under management amounts to around 1.4 million m2 of warehouses in France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy, Poland, Czech and Slovakia.
