German real estate company Patrizia Immobilien has opened a new capital city office in the Neues Kranzler Eck building on Berlin's Kurfürstendamm.

Almost 30 employees will work at the 800 m2 office in Berlin.

'The new site in one of the most important cities in Europe is a logical consequence of our international outlook,' said CEO Wolfgang Egger. 'This means that we are now represented in the capitals of all our major real estate markets - Berlin, Copenhagen, London, Luxembourg, Paris and Stockholm.'

Among others, the German Tamar Capital Partners team will be integrated into the Berlin office. Patrizia acquired the real estate investment and asset management company in the spring of 2013. The portfolio, asset and property management, project development and sales management units will be housed at the new location. With over 600 employees in over 10 countries, Patrizia Immobilien manages real estate assets worth more than €10 bn, primarily as co-investor and portfolio manager for insurance companies, pension fund institutions, sovereign wealth funds and savings banks.

The October edition of PropertyEU Magazine features an interview with Patrizia founder and CEO Wolfgang Egger.
