John Frederiksen, the chairman of the board of the Danish Property Federation, has been elected president of the European Property Federation. The EPF managing committee unanimously elected Frederiksen, who brought the Danish property industry into EPF in 2003.

EPF said Frederiksen's immediate task would be to promote EU policy facilitating cross-border property investment, and in particular an EU legislative framework for real estate investment trusts (EUR REIT).
'I have two connected priorities: taking the EU REIT project forward and making sure that the industry speaks with one voice,' Frederiksen commented.
