Multi Development has opened the first phase of the 76,000 m[sup]2[/sup] Boulevard Berlin, the largest inner-city retail scheme in Germany. The first phase provides 24,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of gross leasable area in the development located in the middle of the Schlo脽stra脽e, a major shopping streets in Berlin.

The sole tenant of the first phase is a Karstadt store - with a new store-design - together with LeBuffet and Perfetto. Multi said this is the most modern Karstadt store in Germany.
The second phase, which is intended to make Boulevard Berlin one of the most integrated inner-city shopping centres in Germany is designed to offer four layers of retail, gastronomy and services. The investment value is about EUR 450 mln. The opening of the whole project is planned for autumn 2011.
