Kumpen takes over from Gaétan Clermont, CEO CBRE Belgium, Luxembourg & Switzerland and board member CBRE France & EMEA, who has decided to leave CBRE to pursue other interests after 17 years with the group. The change takes effect from the end of May 2016.

He joined CBRE in 2005 and was appointed MD CBRE Belgium in January this year. He previously spent five years heading up the company’s capital markets business in Belgium, and prior to that worked in the real estate investment team.

He will also assume overall responsibility for CBRE’s Luxembourg business, working closely with Laurent Cooreman who has been MD of CBRE Luxembourg since 2008.
