Benson Elliot Capital Management, the UK-based private equity real estate fund manager, has appointed Peter Cornforth as director of retail operations.
Benson Elliot Capital Management, the UK-based private equity real estate fund manager, has appointed Peter Cornforth as director of retail operations.
Cornforth has over 25 years of experience as a manager, operating partner and consultant in the real estate investment industry. He has directed the acquisition, refurbishment, leasing and disposal of major retail schemes across the UK.
Benson Elliot said Cornforth is particularly accomplished in repositioning centres in response to emerging retail trends and evolving consumer preferences.
One of Cornforth's roles at Benson Elliot will be to lead the asset management and repositioning of the Arcadia retail portfolio in Ealing, London, working alongside Benson Elliot partner and UK head Phil Irons. Benson Elliot recently exchanged contracts to acquire the Arcadia assets from Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency (NAMA).
