Cash-and-carry specialist retailer Makro, a Spanish affiliate of the Metro group, has acquired a 17,800 m2 property in Madrid for an undisclosed sum. CBRE acted for the vendor in the sale of the property on Paseo Imperial in the Spanish capital. The property was bought from interior furnishings retailer Radisa.

The building will house a new shop concept. The building is more centrally located and compact than Makro’s usual retail facilities, making it more accessible to tourists, CBRE said.

Makro will use 1,600 m2 as sales area and the remainder as offices for the group as well as parking facilities.
