J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Alan Supple as head of global real estate securities, a newly created role.

Supple will be responsible for managing global and international publicly traded real estate securities strategies. He will be based in London and will report to Howard Williams, head of the global equities team.

Supple joins from CenterSquare Investment Management, the real asset investment subsidiary of BNY Mellon Asset Management, where he built and led a team responsible for the European portion of global real estate securities strategies.

Prior to this, Supple held senior positions in corporate finance and acquisitions within two quoted real estate companies in Brussels and New York. Between 1999 and 2003, he was a real estate investment banker with Salomon Smith Barney in New York.

Working alongside research analysts in Europe, Asia and the US real estate securities team, Supple will oversee investments of more than $2.5 bn in global and international listed real estate, across a variety of accounts and strategies, both total return and income-focused. He will be named as portfolio manager on the JP Morgan Funds - Global Real Estate Securities Fund (USD) (SICAV) and JPM Global Property Securities Fund (OEIC).

'We believe stock selection will remain a critical and differentiating skill and I’m delighted to welcome an investor of Alan’s caliber and expertise,' commented Howard Williams.
