Jones Lang LaSalle has announced that Eric de Clercq Zubli will step down as CEO of its Dutch operations. He will be replaced by Vincent Querton who will take up the post alongside his responsibilities as managing director for Belgium & Luxembourg.

De Clercq Zubli had held the position since 2006 and was responsible for expanding the Dutch business. In a reaction, he said: ‘I’m leaving Jones Lang LaSalle at the high point. I am leaving a company behind that is solid as a rock with excellent prospects for 2012. This is the right moment to step down and seek new challenges.’

‘We are grateful to Eric for his leadership and successful contribution to Jones Lang LaSalle Netherlands,’ said Christian Ulbrich, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle EMEA. ‘We have a strong and broad basis for the business in the Netherlands and a unique opportunity to bring it to a higher level under Vincent Querton’s leadership.’

De Clercq Zubli has been with Jones Lang LaSalle for 26 years. He joined the company in 1986 and has played a key role in some of the most prominent transactions in the Dutch market. Most recently he was responsible for the biggest single asset deal in the Netherlands, the sale of the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven which was valued at EUR 425 mln.

Ulbrich said Querton would investigate which management model will work best in the long term for the Dutch operations. Querton will work closely with the senior management team in the Netherlands and Andy Mottram, member of the EMEA Management Board. ‘We want to clarify straightaway that the appointment of Vincent Querton does not mean that we have now merged the management of the Benelux. We have asked Vincent for this position because he set up such a successful company in Belgium & Luxemburg, speaks the Dutch language, has good management skills and because he will be supported by a talented management team in Brussels which will continue to focus on the further growth of Belgium & Luxemburg.’
