Vienna and Warsaw-listed CEE developer-investor Immofinanz is convening an extraordinary general meeting to seek shareholder permission for its €530 mln counter-bid for a 29% stake in Austrian peer CA Immo.
Immofinanz issued a statement on Thursday to announce the EGM will be held on 17 April. Among the items on the agenda will be to request for authorisation of its shareholders for the company’s voluntary partial public offer for almost 30% of CA Immo's shares.
Immofinanz said it was calling the EGM following a recommendation of the Austrian Takeover Commission.
CA Immo has already dismissed the mooted counter-bid as an 'emotion response' to the €422m share offer tabled officially on Wednesday by CA Immo and Russian investor O1 Group for 13.5% stake in Immofinanz.
