Global real estate adviser CBRE has been mandated to market a nine-acre (3.6 hectares) former timber yard in Amsterdam.
The property, which was a working timber yard for almost a century until it closed in early 2000, is located at Overtoom 13-17 close to the city centre. It offers a wide range of catering, retail, entertainment and museums in the immediate vicinity and is a good base for tourists and business visitors.
The site has planning permission for an 80-bed hotel, and the existing consent to re-develop the building includes changes to the zoning plan and the building permit.
Overtoom 13-17 is one of the few remaining hotel development sites in Amsterdam’s city centre following the city council's recent decision to restrict planning permission for new hotel projects.
