German privately-held retail specialist Mfi has announced the resignation of its CEO Matthias Böning and COO Marcus Hüttermann.
The pair are leaving the company to take on new entrepreneurial challenges, the company said in a press statement. Böning, who is stepping down this week, will continue to assist Mfi in an advisory role.
He has been a member of the managing board at mfi since 2003, and has chaired the board since
2006.
COO Marcus Hüttermann is also resigning from the company to take on new challenges. He joined Mfi four years ago and played a key role in establishing the partnership with Perella Weinberg and Unibail-Rodamco.
In the future, Mfi will have a dual leadership team consisting of Karl Reinitzhuber, the incumbent CFO at Mfi, and Michel Dessolain from Unibail-Rodamco.
Europe's largest listed property group Unibail-Rodamco bought a controlling stake in the German company in June last year.
