Timo Tschammler, country manager at DTZ Germany, is moving to Jones Lang LaSalle’s German unit from 1 October, Jones Lang LaSalle announced in a press release. In his new position as managing director, Tschammler will also join JLL’s German management board with responsibility for office and industrial investment and leasing.

Tschammler is on garden leave with immediate effect.

Tschammler has worked for more than six years for DTZ in various management and board positions in London and Frankfurt. Previously he worked for Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas Real Estate. In his new position, Tschammler will report to JLL’s German CEO Frank Pörschke.

Commenting on the appointment, Pörschke said Tschammler was a real estate professional par excellence. ‘I very much look forward to working with him and am confident that with Timo Tschammler at the head of our team in Germany the business will gain an additional source of dynamism.’

The appointment is part of a restructuring at Jones Lang LaSalle Germany into two main areas of responsibility. Jörg Ritter, who is already a member of the management board of JLL Germany, will be responsible for Retail Investment and Retail Leasing. Until Tschammler takes up his position, office investment and office leasing as well as industrial will fall under Pörschke.
