International property services firm Atisreal has advised Dresdner Bank in the leasing of a 72,000 m2 office portfolio to railway group Deutsche Bahn in one of Germany's biggest leasing deals in the past 20 years.
Deutsche Bahn has leased 72,000 m2 of space in the Silberturm Tower in Frankfurt which previously housed the Dresdner Bank headquarters.
Silberturm, which is currently being renovated, is located near Frankfurt's railway station. The 32-storey tower with a height of 166 metres was developed in 1978. After completion of renovation works in 2011, the skyscraper will be compliant with the energy-efficiency directives adopted in Germany two years ago.
