German residential property company Deutsche Wohnen said it plans to raise EUR 250 mln through a rights issue. The capital raise has yet to be approved by shareholders at an extraordinary meeting.

The company, which has a market capitalisation of EUR 270 mln, said the number of new shares to be issued would depend on market circumstances.

Deutsche Wohnen, the country's second-largest publicly traded residential landlord in the SDAX, hopes to complete the exercise in the second half of 2009.
