German lender Deutsche Hypo has provided €84 mln financing for a portfolio of French assets held by Amsterdam-listed shopping centre specialist Eurocommercial Properties.

The portfolio consists of two shopping galleries, a shopping and retail park as well as a residential and commercial building complex. The financing has a term of 15 years and replaces an existing loan.
The retail properties are located in the cities of Hyères (pictured), Glisy and Chasse-sur-Rhône and consist of 43 to 48 business units each, mainly used by renowned national tenants. The residential and commercial building complex in Grenoble, in addition to offices and shops, also consists of an IBIS hotel.
'France is the second largest shopping centre market in Europe whereby, in addition to Paris, the regional metropolises are also in great demand. All financed properties are located in large catchment areas and have already been part of the customer's portfolio for many years,' said Sabine Barthauer, baord member at Deutsche Hypo.
Eurocommercial was an existing client of Deutsche Hypo.
