Cordares real estate director Geert de Nekker told Â鶹ӳ» the move would be a way to diversify risks.

Cordares is currently in discussions with a Danish pension fund about cooperating on the scheme. The EUR 23 bn pensions and assets manager has so far mainly invested in real estate in the Netherlands, Â鶹ӳ» wrote. However, the company is moving into the Italian market for consultancy and asset management.

De Nekker said Cordares has started pooling of indirect real estate aimed at smaller pension funds. Existing clients have already pooled a total of EUR 250 mln in Europe, the US and Asia. The company aims to double the amount within a year.
