Belgian REIT Cofinimmo has added to its growing portfolio of healthcare real estate in the Netherlands with three new deals amounting to €21 mln.

The purchases include two medical office buildings in the Netherlands, acquired in April 2017 for a total of €7.4 mln, as well as a care centre in Alphen aan den Rijn bought for €9.3 mln. In addition, Cofinimmo has delivered a care home construction project in Bavel worth €4.3 mln.
'The recent investments in the Netherlands follow our growth strategy in healthcare real estate and our diversification strategy in terms of assets and geography,' commented Cofinimmo CEO Jean-Edouard Carbonnelle.
The medical office buildings, both located in Tilburg, were built in the last decade and are 100% occupied. Comprising 1,798 m2 and 1,561 m2, they were acquired for €4.1 mln and €3.3 mln respectively. The care centre in Alphen aan den Rijn covers some 4,587 m2 and includes 45 beds. A double net lease for 20 years has been signed with the operator Gemiva. The construction project in Bavel has been delivered to tenant Martha Flora, which has also signed a 20-year lease.
Cofinimmo's healthcare real estate portfolio in the Netherlands now amounts to €182 mln.
