CBRE has appointed Aart Visser as associate director in the Dutch debt & structured finance team.
Before joining CBRE, Visser worked at German lender Berlin Hyp in the real estate finance team. In this role he was responsible for sourcing and structuring commercial real estate loans ranging between €20 and €200 mln.
'We have experienced a stellar year for property financing and have been able to expand and grow our debt business in unison,' said Robert-Jan Peters, senior director for CBRE's Dutch debt business.
He added that Visser's 'valuable' experience at one of the major Pfandbrief lenders in the market will add to and complement the broad banking experience of the Dutch Debt & Structured Finance team. 'Having four dedicated local debt specialists will allow us to seize the continuously expanding opportunities in our market. The strengthening of our Dutch team is also aligned with a broader strategic focus on debt on a pan-European level.'
