German multinational engineering and electronics company Robert Bosch is letting the entire floor space of the Silbermöwe office building owned by CA Immo in Vienna for a period of at least 10 years. The 21,500 m2 deal is believed to be the largest leasing transaction on the Vienna office market so far this year.
'We leased around 30,000 m2 to Österreichische Postat at the end of 2010, and this new agreement represents the biggest new letting for this year in the urban district Lände 3 so far,' said Bruno Ettenauer, CEO of CA Immo.
Extensive renovation work on the Silbermöwe office building began in summer 2011. The 10-storey building is targeting an environmentally sustainable certificate from the Austrian Society for Sustainable Real Estate (ÖGNI).
Lände 3 is an 80,000 m2 development and restoration initiative on Erdberger Lände in the Landstrasse area of Vienna. The multi-phase urban project aims to create a mix of office, residential, hotel and retail facilities on a site spanning 5.5 hectares.
