German bank Berlin Hyp plans to open a new office in the French capital Paris in spring 2010. The move follows recent openings in Amsterdam, London, Prague and Warsaw and will be the bank's fifth foreign office.

'This is the next step in the bank’s strategy of providing more intensive advice in interesting core markets abroad in future by local presence, thereby extending overall business,' the bank said. The relatively stable, transparent and regulated real estate market is also a reason for expansion into France, it added.

Berlin Hyp is part of the Real Estate Finance Business Division of Landesbank Berlin and one of the largest German real estate finance providers.
