Barings Real Estate Advisers has appointed Göran Bengtsson as head of the Nordics.
Previously at Aberdeen Asset Management, Bengtsson joins a 19-strong team which currently manages over €777 mln of Nordic real estate assets.
Based in Stockholm, Bengtsson will be responsible for sourcing and executing deals, asset management and expanding the business in Denmark and Norway. He will report to Gunther Deutsch, head of transactions Europe, and Charles Weeks, head of real estate Europe.

'He will help us to execute our expansion in the Nordic region, which given its strong economic fundamentals and mature real estate market is a key geography for us. We will leverage Göran’s proven track record in sourcing attractive opportunities and his experience in managing a Nordic platform to grow our presence in the region.'

My initial focus will be to source investment opportunities for our commingled and separate account strategies, with core to value-add risk profiles.
