After three years of planning and three and a half years of construction, Ballymore has opened Eurovea, a EUR 450 mln investment in Bratislava and Slovakia’s largest mixed-use development to date. Completion of the development marks the final stage of the realisation of the new city quarter which is spread over an area of more than 230,000 m2.

The Eurovea retail component comprises 150 shops and brings together international retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Next, Debenhams and H&M. Adjacent to the retail is the Ballymore-owned five-star, 209 bedroom Sheraton Bratislava Hotel. The development also contains 30 restaurants and bars, and a 9-screen cinema. The residential component consists of 235 apartments and the project also offers 24,500 m2 of Class A office accommodation.

'This development is a good example of Ballymore’s strengths and pulls together everything we have learned about large-scale development over the last 25 years,' said Sean Mulryan, Founder and Executive Chairman of the Ballymore Group.

Eurovea is expected to bring in excess of 12 million people annually to this part of Bratislava and is the largest development ever built by an Irish developer outside of Ireland.

The Ballymore Group is an international design-led property development and investment group, developing prime locations in key cities. It currently has over 40 projects in development or in the planning process. The majority are in London, Dublin, Prague, Bratislava and Berlin.
