Dutch pension fund Stichting Nedlloyd Pensioenfonds (SNP) has appointed Almazara Real Assets Advisory to provide portfolio management services for its its non-listed real estate investments.

Stichting Nedlloyd Pensioenfonds (SNP) is the pension fund for employees of a number of Dutch Maersk companies, including employees formerly belonging to shipping company Royal Nedlloyd. SNP has total assets of close to €1.2 bn, of which €175 mln, or about 15%, is invested in real estate.

Bas van den IJssel, one of Almazara’s partners, commented: 'SNP has invested in real estate with a predominantly core profile because of its diversification potential and its direct income. It is our job to ensure that the portfolio performs in line with that risk profile'.

Almazara, based in the Netherlands, provides advice on the management of global indirect real estate and infrastructure portfolios.
