Zurich-based investor Acron has entered the Austrian market through the acquisition of the multifunctional Wien Westbahnhof A3 commercial property in Vienna for EUR 88 mln. The vendor was the infrastructure arm of the country's national rail company ÖBB.

Acron plans to market the scheme to investors through a private placement.

Part of the BahnhofCity Wien West building complex, the property was completed in 2011. It features a hotel, a 19-unit shopping centre, and offices over a total of 24,971 m2 of commercial space.

Kai Bender, CEO of Acron, said, 'The long-term leases for the entire property running for ten to 30 years, combined with a general lease agreement for the shopping centre with Austrian Railways, which is wholly owned by the Republic of Austria, will give our investors a very secure flow of income.'
