Acciona Inmobiliaria, the real estate arm of energy group Acciona, has announced the opening of its Splau! shopping centre in the Spanish city of Barcelona. The mall, which provides 54,000 m[sup]2[/sup] of gross retail space over 165 shops, represents an investment of around EUR 200 mln.

Located between the Cornellà and El Prat de Llobregat districts, the retail scheme includes several restaurants, a Mercadona supermarket as well as an 18-screen cinema operated by the Àrea Catalana d’Exhibició Cinematogràfica, and parking spaces for 2,800 cars. Major retailers include Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Mango, H&M, Jack&Jones, C&A, Oysho y Primark, as well as Media Markt and Miró.

The centre is currently 85% leased and Acciona hopes to increase the occupancy level to 95% by September this year.
