Aberdeen Asset Management has acquired a five-storey student accommodation property in Hamburg on behalf of a self-managed spezialfonds.
The building on Hamburg’s Warnstedtstraße comprises 136 rooms in 34 units and 30 apartments, as well as a pavement café.
The property was sold by developer Zweite Hamburger Wertkonzept, which completed the building in January. Financial details were not disclosed.
The acquisition is Aberdeen’s 16th investment in Hamburg, following the Thadenstraße housing project in Altona last December. The asset manager also announced it will shortly be launching a new fund to invest in residential, retail and mixed use properties in urban locations.
