The real estate arm of Ares Management Corporation has acquired a portfolio of five logistics assets in Poland from Savills Investment Management.
Ares Real Estate has acquired the portfolio for an undisclosed sum, with assets located in Warsaw, Poznan, Upper Silesia and Szczecin.
The portfolio, which is 94% leased, will be managed by the firmβs global logistics platform, Marq Logistics.
Daan van den Hoven, partner and head of European Logistics at Ares, said: βLogistics is one of our highest conviction sectors and Poland is a market in which we have been investing for over two decades, placing this transaction at the intersection of our differentiated sector knowledge and localised investment approach.
βAdditionally, we are proud to leverage Marq Logisticsβ leading capabilities to maximise value and look forward to working closely with our colleagues to deliver for our investors.β
Evert Castelein, head of industrial and logistics Europe at Savills Investment Management, said the disposal represents the successful culmination of the firmβs business plan following the acquisition of the portfolio in 2020, βwhen we recognised both its potential and the opportunities offered by the Polish logistics marketβ.
βSince then, our focused asset management strategy, executed in conjunction with our experienced local team, has strengthened the portfolio and delivered on this vision despite a challenging global environment in recent years. The involvement of Ares reflects the quality of the portfolio and the enduring appeal of the Polish logistics market,β added.
