JP Morgan is launching a global infrastructure team.

The US bank has made two internal appointments to a new Infrastructure Finance and Advisory (IFA) division.

Carlos Hernandez, global head of banking, said that as the market for infrastructure finance has grown globally, the banks thinks it is β€œtimely to position ourselves with a global team and structure to expand the business”.

Daniel Zelikow, global head of the banks’s ICM Public Sector Group, and Huw Richards, co-head of investment grade finance, have been named global co-heads of the new arm.

IFA will advise clients on – and structure finance for – global infrastructure projects.
